Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program

The Foundation has launched a brand new grant

The Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program is designed to respond to the immense social and emotional stress on Aboriginal students and their families caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through financial grants, the program aims to make school travel accessible to students. The Social and Emotional Wellbeing program is funded by the Merrin Foundation.


What can be funded by Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program?

  1.    Cultural immersion experiences into remote and rural Australia

  2.    Regional Victoria camps

  3.    Music camps

  4.    Camps that offer sustainable living that is directly transferable to their urban lives

  5.    Overseas Immersion Experience

Criteria for support for Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program
•The activity or program must be organised through a Catholic or Independent school
•Student or parent/caregiver must complete the application before the payment/s are due for camps
•An itinerary and any relevant information about program must be submitted with the application
•Student or parent/caregiver must indicate how the program will support the social or emotional wellbeing of the student on this application form
•In a cultural immersion excursion, the deposit must be paid by the parents
•Each student is allowed to apply for one Social and Emotional Wellbeing grant per grant round
•Applications must be submitted before 6th of May, 2023.
